Job Title: FCC – Business Analyst.

About the Job you are considering

We are seeking an experienced Financial Crime / FIU Business Analyst to support the design, enhancement, and optimisation of FIU processes, AML/CTF investigations, case management workflows, and supporting technology platforms. You will work across policy, process, data, and technology stakeholders to ensure regulatory alignment, operational effectiveness, and high-quality investigative outcomes across AML/KYC/SAR processes.

Hybrid Working

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role

• Elicit and document business, functional, and non‑functional requirements (BRD/FRD/Use Cases) for FIU operations, case management, and investigation workflows.
• Translate policy and regulatory updates (FATF, FCA/JMLSG, EU AMLDs) into actionable process specifications and control requirements.
• Define end‑to‑end data requirements for AML investigations (customer, transaction, KYC/CDD/EDD, screening hits, TM alerts, adverse media).
• Map current‑state FIU processes (intake, triage, investigation, escalation, SAR/STR submissions) and design target‑state workflows with SLAs, hand‑offs, and auditability.
• Define control points, quality checks, QA sampling, and performance/risk indicators (alert ageing, false positives, time‑to‑close, SAR conversion).
• Ensure policy‑to‑procedure alignment; maintain SOPs, playbooks, RACI models, and governance artefacts.
• Work with product and technology teams to shape features in case management and TM platforms (Actimize, Mantas, SAS, NetReveal, NICE, Pega).
• Define integration needs for screening tools (World‑Check, Dow Jones, LexisNexis), adverse media, APIs, and data warehouses.
• Partner with data teams on data lineage, quality controls, dashboards, and regulatory/management reporting.
• Plan and manage UAT, define test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and support defect management.
• Support operational readiness including training materials, run‑books, cutover plans, and go‑live assistance.
• Track outcomes through MI/reporting; prepare packs for ORCs/FC committees; support continuous improvement and model‑tuning feedback loops.
• Engage FIU Leads, Financial Crime Operations, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Product, and Technology stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops, backlog refinement, sprint ceremonies; manage dependencies and remove delivery blockers.

Your Skills

• Strong FIU/Investigations and AML/CTF domain expertise, including KYC/CDD/EDD, SAR/STR workflows, typology analysis, and escalation processes.
• Strong regulatory knowledge across FATF, FCA/JMLSG guidance, EU AMLDs (4th/5th/6th), and AML/CTF governance and risk frameworks.
• Hands‑on exposure to TM and Case Management platforms (Actimize, Mantas, SAS, NetReveal, NICE, Pega) and sanctions/screening tools.
• Strong BA fundamentals — BRD/FRD creation, user stories, BPMN mapping, acceptance criteria, UAT planning, traceability, and change control.
• Ability to work with SQL/basic queries, MI definitions, dashboards, and data dictionaries.
• Strong ways of working with Agile/Scrum, JIRA, Confluence, workshop facilitation, and structured stakeholder communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including documentation for policies, procedures, governance committees, and regulator‑facing material.
