We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist software consultancy providing new bespoke solutions to solve our customers complex operational problems. As our business continues to grow, we are interested in speaking with an experienced Senior Test Analyst to join one of our live projects within the Central Government team.
Working in a hybrid way, you can choose how often you work from one of our offices located in Bristol, Plymouth, Cheltenham, Manchester, and London. There will, however, be a requirement to visit customers on regular occasions.

The Role:
As a Senior Test Analyst, you will join one of our small, fast-paced, agile delivery teams. This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless integration and functionality of our client’s complex systems, particularly cloud-based applications, and services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling complex integrations, problem solving, designing user journeys, creating test data, automated test frameworks and working with cloud environments. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills are essential to facilitate effective teamwork and achieve project goals.
Testing at IIG consists of a wide range of responsibilities. The list below gives a flavour of some of the tasks you may be asked to undertake;
1. Support the planning, design, and execution of functional testing to support software and system development, with a strong focus on cloud-based services.
2. Input into testing timelines, and communicate testing progress and results effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
3. Undertake audits of third-party suppliers testing to ensure quality and exercise the definition of done as SIT quality gate.
4. Lead the analysis on complex testing issues, including cross systems issues.
5. Develop and maintain detailed integration test plans and scenarios for complex software applications involving multiple systems, including cloud platforms.
6. Conduct UI, API, and cloud service integration testing to ensure systems interact efficiently and meet business requirements.
7. Collaborate with development and product teams to create realistic user journeys and test scenarios, particularly for cloud-based applications.
8. Generate and manage test data, and maintain data integrity across multiple environments, including cloud-based platforms.
9. Create and implement SIT readiness checklists to ensure consistent test acceptance criteria is implemented across all third parties.
10. Identify, document, and track bugs and issues through to resolution, working closely with cloud service providers and development teams.
11. Good knowledge of test automation processes and best practices.
12. Enhance existing testing processes and incorporate best practices for system integration testing, particularly for cloud services.
13. Identify and proactively manage risks and single points of failure in the entire SDLC.
14. Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to summarize testing activities, including issues found and resolutions proposed, with a focus on cloud integrations.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Analyst with:
15. Extensive experience in functional test analysis and testing, with a proven track record of handling complex integrations, including extensive work with cloud-based services.
16. Experience in UI and API testing and creating comprehensive test plans and cases, particularly for cloud services.
17. Strong experience in creating detailed user journeys and test data for cloud-based applications.
18. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
19. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other stakeholders.
20. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues clearly and concisely.
21. Proficient with test management software and QA methodologies

Due to nature of the sector this role would be part of, we require all our team to be able to obtain high level security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British passport holder and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.

We have offices based in Bristol, Plymouth, Cheltenham, Manchester, York and London where you can work from, alternatively we are happy for you to work from home, occasionally visiting clients as required.
