We’re currently looking for a Health & Safety Manager to join our Weetabix contract based in Burton Latimer.
The role is responsible for health, safety, and environmental policies aligned with the warehouse operation. The Health & Safety Manager will promote a culture of health and safety within the Burton Latimer and Corby sites, and the wider XPO business.

Here’s what you’ll do:
1. Take ownership of health, safety, and environmental policies, KPIs, and reporting.
2. Stay updated with legislation and ensure compliance with all HSE regulations, maintaining quality and ISO standards.
3. Communicate XPO Logistics QHSE policies and raise awareness through site forums.
4. Collaborate with the customer to align QHSE strategies.
5. Manage pre-work for audits, coordinate with auditors, and implement action plans.
6. Develop and oversee the annual H&S Action Plan.
7. Plan and deliver on-site H&S training, ensuring staff are updated on relevant changes.
8. Set objectives for HS&E, communicate, and review them regularly.
9. Inform contract management of responsibilities, supporting through policies and audits.
10. Ensure adequate training for staff on QHSE issues daily.
11. Oversee risk assessments and SOPs on-site.
12. Manage incident reporting, investigation, and trend analysis to improve standards.
13. Maintain monitoring systems and support accident investigations.
14. Manage the site environmental management system and formulate improvement plans.
15. Promote behavioural safety guidelines and B-Safe initiatives.
16. Coordinate with the central QSHE team and report to both site and central teams.
17. Provide liaison with enforcement authorities as needed.
18. Work with solicitors regarding claims and litigation.
19. Flexibly cover related duties to enhance service quality.
Requirements to succeed at XPO:
* NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health.
* Operational or managerial experience in logistics or transport.
* Understanding of business needs at the site level.
* Experience in delivering training or briefings to colleagues.
