Step Teachers are hiring for a SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support - Salford

What You\'ll Be Doing
* 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 9 with Autism & ADHD
* Adapting to a mix of needs — learning, emotional, sensory & communication
* Using positive behaviour techniques
* Helping create a fun, inclusive, and safe learning space
* Working with class teachers, SENCO, families & external specialists
* Reporting any concerns or incidents to safeguarding leads
The School
* Caters for students aged 9 to 19 with Autism, ADHD, Sensory & other needs
* Small classes (max 10) with 4 staff per room
* Fully equipped with sensory rooms, hydrotherapy & soft play areas
* Inclusive, respectful, and community-focused vibe
* Staff feel supported and part of a real team
* Emphasis on empathy, relationships & long-term growth
What You\'ll Need
* CV with 10-year work history
* Proof of Right to Work, ID & proof of address
* DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Professional references covering the last 2 years
* Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
* Experience with children & SEN
* Positivity, reliability, empathy & dedication
Role Details
* Start: ASAP in September 2025
* Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:15am-3:15pm
* Contract: Long-term, potential to go permanent
* Pay: £90-£110/day DOE (Paid PAYE only, no umbrella companies)
* Equal Pay: Matched to perm staff after 13 weeks
