Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical engineering activities across multi‑disciplinary product development projects
Deliver innovative mechanical solutions using CAD, CAE and analytical modelling
Oversee project delivery, budgets, timelines and client communication
Mentor and support junior Mechanical Engineers, reviewing and guiding their work
Develop prototypes and test rigs using both low‑volume and high‑volume manufacturing technologies
Work closely with electronics, software, design and research teams to integrate mechanical systems
Support the full product lifecycle from feasibility and concept generation through to manufacturing and launchEssential Skills & Experience
Degree (1st or 2:1) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Strong experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer or Product Development Engineer
Proven background in product design, mechanical development, CAD/CAE, engineering analysis and prototyping
Experience working with a range of materials and manufacturing processes, including injection moulding and rapid prototyping
Ability to lead engineering workstreams and manage client relationships
Demonstrated success delivering complex mechanical engineering solutions
Strong mechanical problem‑solving skills with a creative, practical approach
