Elevation Recruitment Group's Engineering Services Division are supporting a specialist manufacturing company based in Yorkshire with the recruitment of a skilled and motivated Field Service & Commissioning Engineer. The Field Service & Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical switchgear equipment at client sites across various industries all across the UK with some international travel too. Key responsibilities of the Field Service & Commissioning Engineerinclude: Installation and site-based commissioning of LV/MV switchgear systems, including functional testing, protection relay configuration, and system integration and site acceptance testingConduct pre-commissioning checks, insulation resistance tests, and fault diagnostics,Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentationLiaise with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project deliveryPrepare and submit detailed commissioning reports, test records, and documentation, and provide technical support and troubleshootingParticipate in site surveys, risk assessments, and method statement preparation Qualifications and Professional background needed for the Field Service & Commissioning Engineer include: Apprentice trained/ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Proven experience in commissioning LV/MV switchgearFamiliarity with protection relaysExperience with SCADA systems, PLCs, and automation interfacesAbility to work independently and manage multiple site activitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel (including internationally) and work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
