Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA3)
Full Time | Immediate Start | Until End of Academic Year
Nelson | £13.33 per hour
Rotherwood Education are proud to be recruiting two experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Nelson.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and motivated TA looking to make a real impact on pupils’ progress for the remainder of the academic year.
Positions Available:
* Year 5/Year 6 Support
* Year 1/Year 2 Support
Both roles will involve supporting small groups and delivering targeted 1:1 support, with a strong focus on planning and delivering structured writing interventions.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:35am – 3:30pm
Contract: Until end of school year
Pay: £13.33 per hour
(Full-time only – no part-time option available)
The Role
You will:
* Support identified pupils within the classroom environment
* Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions, particularly in writing
* Monitor pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
* Contribute to individual target setting and track progress
* Support inclusion strategies to ensure all pupils can access learning
* Build positive and encouraging relationships with children
This role would suit someone confident in leading interventions independently and working collaboratively with teaching staff.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Have strong experience supporting primary-aged children
* Be confident delivering structured literacy or writing interventions
* Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills
* Be proactive, enthusiastic, and adaptable
* Work effectively as part of a professional and supportive team
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
* Provide two recent references covering the last five years of employment
* Hold a current DBS certificate (or be willing to obtain one)
