*About you*

If you are a friendly and enthusiastic person who has a can-do attitude and a passion for helping others, a role in our adult residential care homes may be right for you.

Whilst we value experience, it is not essential for candidates to have previously worked in the health and social care sector, or with autistic individuals – all we ask is that you are hard-working and willing to learn, and our comprehensive induction, training and mentoring will give you all the skills and tools you need to thrive in your career.

Our staff come from all walks of life and backgrounds, and bring their passions, skills, and experiences with them to enrich the lives of those they care for. If you’re seeking a rewarding job that makes a positive difference in the lives of autistic and/or neurodivergent people, this is the role for you.

*Qualifications and Skills:*

Previous experience working with neurodivergent individuals is desirable but not essential. A compassionate and empathetic approach to care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Basic understanding of neurodiversity and the needs of individuals with neurodivergent conditions. Willingness to undergo relevant training and ongoing professional development.

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate support workers to join our team. As a care support worker at one of our adult residential homes, you will work to support individuals who are autistic and/or neurodivergent to live as fulfilling and independent lives as possible.

Working individually, and as part of a team, you will build positive, trusting relationships with the adults in your care, and make a genuine difference in their lives.

*Key Responsibilities:*

Providing direct care and support to residents in accordance with their individual care plans. Help residents with daily tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration. Encouraging and enabling residents to participate in activities and social interactions within the care home and out in the community. Supporting residents to develop their independence and life skills through structured routines and positive reinforcement. Monitoring and reporting on residents’ well-being, behaviour, and progress to the care home manager and other healthcare professionals as needed. Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for residents. Upholding the principles of confidentiality, dignity, and respect in all interactions with residents and their families.
