What is a Welder?
A welder specializes in joining metal parts by melting and fusing them. They are vital to the Maintenance team, ensuring equipment can be fabricated, repaired, and maintained for large-scale lifting operations.
Location: St Neots
Apprenticeship level and standard: Welder Level 2
Apprenticeship Provider: Laing O'Rourke collaborates with trusted training providers. Successful candidates will be enrolled during onboarding.
Entry requirements:
* Eligibility to work in the UK with a valid permit if applicable.
* Full mobility for travel to project sites.
* GCSEs or equivalent (minimum three).
What to expect from the apprenticeship:
The programme offers a formal college education leading to Level 2 or 3 qualifications, combined with on-the-job training supported by experienced professionals. A dedicated mentor will guide your progress.
