The Procurement Manager is a new role - We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Procurement Manager to join our team within the financial services sector. The role will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities across a range of categories including technology, professional services, facilities, and outsourced services. The successful candidate will ensure that procurement practices support the business strategy, deliver value for money, and maintain regulatory and contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives and risk appetite.
* Lead strategic sourcing initiatives including RFPs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards.
* Manage key supplier relationships and performance to ensure delivery of value, service quality, and innovation.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance, IT, Operations) to support procurement planning and ensure alignment.
* Drive cost savings and operational efficiencies through effective contract and supplier management.
* Ensure all procurement activity complies with FCA regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices.
* Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records for audit and governance purposes.
* Analyse market trends and supplier risks to inform procurement decision-making.
* Champion sustainability, diversity, and ESG standards within the supply chain.

Does this sound like you?

* Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or Category Manager in the financial services sector.
* Strong knowledge of regulated procurement and third-party risk management within FCA-regulated environments.
* Demonstrated commercial negotiation and contract drafting skills (e.g. with MSAs, NDAs, SoWs).
* Track record of delivering cost savings and value through procurement initiatives.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across business units and senior leadership.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with data and reports.
* Working knowledge of e-procurement systems and tools (e.g. Coupa, Ariba, SAP).
* CIPS qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
* Understanding of key regulatory frameworks including FCA outsourcing rules, SMCR, and operational resilience requirements.

The Application Timeline

* A first stage video call with the internal talent acquisition team (15 minutes)
* A second stage introductory video call with the hiring manager (30 minutes)
* A face to face formal interview with the hiring manager (60 minutes)
