UK Asset Manager (Commercial / Mixed-Use Portfolio)London | Hybrid£75,000 – £80,000 + Bonus + Benefits An opportunity has arisen for a commercially driven Asset Manager to take full ownership of a UK-based real estate portfolio within a well-capitalised, privately backed investment platform. This is a high-impact role in a lean structure, where you will act as the key UK representative, overseeing a stable, income-generating portfolio (c.70% commercial / 30% residential) and driving performance across the entire asset lifecycle. You will be responsible for maximising value, enhancing income, and ensuring each asset is operating in line with its business plan—working closely with senior stakeholders and managing a network of outsourced property managers, consultants, and advisors.The Role
* Full strategic and operational oversight of a UK portfolio
* Driving asset performance, income generation, and value enhancement
* Managing and challenging external property managers, agents, and consultants
* Leading leasing strategy including renewals, regears, and new lettings
* Monitoring occupancy levels, arrears, and tenant performance
* Overseeing service charge budgets, capex planning, and cost optimisation
* Supporting acquisitions with underwriting, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration
* Implementing business plans and reporting performance to senior leadership
* Coordinating refurbishment and repositioning projects where required
* Ensuring full legal and regulatory compliance across all assets
* Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across all levels
About You
* Ideally MRICS/chartered (or working towards)
* Minimum 5+ years’ experience in asset management, investment, or acquisitions
* Strong commercial asset management experience across commercial, hospitality, office, or mixed-use assets
* Proven ability to drive NOI, occupancy, and asset value
* Financially literate with strong Excel skills (IRR, yield, cashflow modelling)
* Experienced managing external agents and outsourced partners
* Strong understanding of UK property legislation and landlord obligations
* Confident leading leasing activity and negotiating terms
* Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple assets and priorities simultaneously
