Paraplanner Financial Planning Team Location: Blackburn (Hybrid Working Available) Overview A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated and skilled Paraplanner to join a forward-thinking financial planning practice in Blackburn. This position is ideal for someone who is analytical, collaborative, and keen to play a key role in shaping clients long-term financial strategies. Whether you are an experienced paraplanner or developing your expertise, you will be joining a supportive environment where your skills and ideas can genuinely influence how the team evolves. About the Role As a Paraplanner, you will work closely with financial planners to deliver exceptional advisory support. Your day-to-day work will be varied, meaningful, and central to ensuring clients receive high-quality, well-researched, and compliant advice. Key Responsibilities Conduct in-depth research on products, funds, and financial solutions to support client recommendations. Prepare clear, accurate, and technically robust suitability reports and supporting documents. Identify planning opportunities and areas to enhance client outcomes. Assist with compliance checks, pre-advice reviews, and project-based work. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at driving efficiency within the team. Utilise technology and AI-enabled tools to streamline analysis and support advisers. Collaborate with planners, administrators, and other internal teams to deliver a seamless client experience. You will excel in this role if you: Enjoy working collaboratively with advisers and colleagues across the business. Can manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Have strong writing skills and can produce clear, well-structured suitability reports. Are confident communicating with clients where needed. Are organised, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of your workload. Embrace new technology, including AI tools, to enhance productivity and research quality. Ideal Experience & Qualifications At least 2 years paraplanning experience within a financial planning or wealth management environment. Working towards or already holding recognised financial planning qualifications. Strong knowledge of pensions, investments, cashflow modelling, protection planning, and inheritance tax considerations. Confident using Microsoft Office and financial planning systems/software. GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
