Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Haringey, London Borough of Haringey
Protocol Education is seeking a full-time experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant for a ‘good’ school in Haringey. The role involves working with pupils who have learning difficulties, behavioural challenges, or physical and sensory disabilities. The position is from April 2025 to July 2025. The school offers a supportive environment, encourages creativity, and provides excellent staff well-being and career development opportunities. There is onsite parking and good transport links. Pay starts at £90 per day.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver RWI phonics sessions
* Work with SEN children
* Assess individual learning needs
* Manage challenging behaviour positively
* Communicate with parents, carers, and professionals
* Supervise activities
* Collaborate with teachers to develop bespoke, child-centered education plans
* Work with children in small groups and one-on-one
