We are seeking a confident HR Administrator looking for the next step to join our small but busy HR Team.
Working as part of a shared services HR team across MBA's two UK sites (London and Warrington), the HR Assistantwill support the day‑to‑day HR function with a strong emphasis on administration, data accuracy, process coordination, and first‑line HR support.
This role is fully office based in Warrington and is ideal for someone early in their HR career who is confident with administrative processes, highly organised, and eager to develop into a broader HR advisory position. You will work closely with the HR team and managers to ensure smooth HR operations, particularly across recruitment, onboarding, HR systems, compliance, and employee lifecycle administration.
Key Responsibilities
HR Administration & Systems
* Maintain and update the HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring accuracy of employee records including new starters, leavers, contractual changes, and time & attendance.
* Produce ad hoc reports using HRIS data and support ongoing improvements to reporting processes.
* Support the investigation, testing, and implementation of a new HRIS system.
* Prepare HR documentation including contracts, offer letters, variation letters, and general correspondence.
* Maintain digital and physical employee files in line with GDPR and internal policies.
* Provide administrative support for audits, tenders, and compliance requirements.
Recruitment & Onboarding
* Coordinate the end‑to‑end recruitment administration process, including posting job adverts, scheduling interviews, liaising with agencies, and managing candidate communication.
* Conduct DBS, Credit checks, right‑to‑work checks and request references for new joiners.
* Prepare new starter packs and ensure all onboarding documentation is completed accurately.
* Support the delivery of induction processes, including scheduling sessions and assisting with ISO compliance training and inductions.
Employee Lifecycle Support
* Act as a first point of contact for general HR queries, escalating to the HR senior team when appropriate.
* Support managers with basic HR processes such as absence reporting, probation tracking, and performance documentation.
* Assist with employee relations administration, including note‑taking in meetings when required.
* Support the managers with return to work meetings, welfare meetings, consultations, and other formal processes under guidance.
Policy, Compliance & Projects
* Keeping up to date with employment law and updating relevant documentation when required.
* Support HR projects such as process improvements, apprentice initiatives, employee engagement initiatives including charity committee.
* Liaise with third‑party providers including Occupational Health, benefits providers, and screening services.
* Participate in health & safety committee meetings and support H&S administrative processes.
Key Skills & Experience
Essential
* Strong administrative experience, ideally within HR
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling data and documentation.
* Experience using HR systems (inputting data, running reports, maintaining records).
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
* Excellent written communication skills for producing correspondence and reports.
* Confident verbal communication skills to support employees and managers.
* Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Desirable
* CIPD Level 3 or working towards.
* Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding processes.
* Understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
* Experience supporting managers with first‑line HR queries.
* Ability to analyse HR data.
* Presentation skills for supporting induction or training sessions.
* Flexibility to support the London site on an ad‑hoc basis.
