Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate all audit activities on-site at MoD Corsham, ensuring full coverage across operational and compliance areas.
* Identify and engage relevant personnel for audit participation, including maintenance and facilities teams.
* Develop and issue audit plans, schedules, and documentation tailored to site-specific requirements.
* Conduct audits and investigations, gathering evidence and assessing compliance with internal policies and health & safety regulations.
* Write detailed audit reports with clear findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
* Monitor and follow up on audit outcomes to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.
* Issue compliance notices and support health & safety enforcement across the site.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to promote a culture of accountability and regulatory awareness.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver internal audits across operational, regulatory, and compliance areas.
* Collaborate with internal controls and investigation teams to shape a robust audit environment.
* Present clear, evidence-based audit findings to senior stakeholders and the Audit Committee.
* Track and support the implementation of corrective actions that add real value to the business.
* Provide ad-hoc advisory support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What Were Looking For
Were seeking someone with a strong background in internal audit and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. Ideally, youll bring:
* Internal audit experience
* Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards
* NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent H&S awareness)
* Background in Facilities Management (FM)
* A valid UK passport
* A 5-year checkable work history for SC clearance eligibility
