The Challenger 3 programme is launching a new project to deliver the demonstration and manufacturing phases of a new sub-system, supporting the overall programme aims and future business strategy for RBSL. The individual in this role will operate the Planning, Monitoring and Controlling (PM&C) processes of both phases, liaising with engineering, suppliers, manufacturing, and quality activities. They should have specialist knowledge in one or more areas of project management, capable of adapting and applying these practices in various circumstances, developing these practices, and guiding others in their application. Key Stakeholders include: Project Managers Lead Planners and Project Controls Manager Procurement Managers Manufacturing Manager Quality Manager Project Director Project Control Manager Control Account Managers Technical Project Management Team Project Professionals Position Duties and Responsibilities This individual will be responsible for: Generation and maintenance of project schedules, collaborating with Engineering Leads, Project Managers, and Lead Planners. Supporting the integration of project schedules into an overall project plan. Supporting the Programme resource demand process. Assisting in generating project reporting data. Identifying and mitigating scheduling issues. Supporting the timely delivery of Project Management deliverables as per the project management plan. Performing other duties to support the Lead Planner and PCM as required. Managing internal stakeholders. Qualifications and Experience APM PMQ or equivalent qualification (desirable). Experience in project management. Planning or Scheduling experience within a project environment (Essential). Knowledge of Project Management tools, techniques, risk and issue management, change control, budgeting, and project controls (Desirable). Influencing internal stakeholders to achieve business success. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail. Self-motivated and proactive.
