Our client in Cambridge is looking for an RF Antenna Engineer to join their team developing cutting-edge RF sensing and communication technologies. The role covers the full lifecycle – from design and simulation through to lab validation and real-world field trials – with a strong emphasis on wideband performance and integration into advanced RF platforms.
As An RF Antenna Engineer, You'll Be
* Designing and optimising wideband antennas using EM simulation tools such as CST
* Carrying out impedance matching, bandwidth optimisation, and radiation pattern analysis
* Prototyping and validating antennas in the lab with VNAs, spectrum analysers, and anechoic chambers
* Supporting integration into enclosures and RF subsystems
* Running field trials to verify real-world performance and troubleshoot issues
* Documenting designs, preparing technical reports, and contributing to product roadmaps
What You'll Bring As An RF Antenna Engineer
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or related discipline
* Proven background in RF antenna design, ideally with wideband and compact solutions
* Hands-on experience with CST Studio Suite (or equivalent EM tools)
* Practical knowledge of RF test methods and measurement equipment
* Solid understanding of electromagnetic theory and antenna principles
* Experience integrating antennas into embedded or mobile platforms (desirable)
What's On Offer
