About the role

Could you bring strong financial leadership and confident operational management to support an effective, wellrun school environment?

As School Business Manager, you will play a central role in supporting the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to ensure the school operates efficiently, sustainably and with high standards across its business functions. Using your proven experience in financial management and handling significant budgets, you will help maximise revenue streams, plan strategically and keep resources aligned to school priorities.

The role includes promoting and maintaining Health and Safety across the site, ensuring policies are implemented correctly and that staff and pupils are supported through safe working practices, fire procedures and effective risk assessments. You will liaise with internal colleagues and external partners to oversee estates and facilities, contributing to projects and managing operational needs as they arise.

A key part of the role involves line management of nonteaching staff. This includes working closely with the Site Manager, Canteen Manager and their teams to ensure smooth daytoday operations, highquality service and effective support for the school community. This position will suit someone who enjoys varied responsibilities, builds strong working relationships and takes a proactive, organised approach.
