Job Title: Electronics Test & Repair Technician Location: Dewsbury, West Yorkshire (on-site) Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 depending on experience Hours: Full-time, permanent Not every fault is obvious. You’ll get the space and support to dig into the detail, figure it out, and put it right. We’re working with a growing electronics manufacturer in Dewsbury whose products are used worldwide across the utilities sector. They’re expanding their repair team and looking to bring in two new people. This could suit someone just starting out in their career, or someone with more experience in hands-on electronic repair. Either way, you’ll be given full training on the company’s processes and supported by a knowledgeable, friendly team. It’s a practical role where no two jobs are exactly the same. You’ll carry out diagnostic testing, replace components, update firmware and make sure every unit that leaves the repair bench is safe, reliable and good to go. What you’ll be doing: Running tests on returned units to find the fault. Replacing damaged wiring, PCBs and electronic components. Updating firmware and software as needed. Testing the repaired product to confirm performance and safety. Logging the work carried out for quality and traceability. Working alongside engineers and production colleagues to share ideas and keep things moving. Who we’re looking for: We’re open to applications from both early-career and experienced candidates. You might have: A background in electronics, testing or assembly and want to build your skills. Previous experience in a repair environment with strong fault-finding ability. And you’ll need: A methodical, hands-on approach. The ability to follow processes accurately. Confidence using a PC to update records and software.
