Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your primary responsibility will be to develop mechatronics systems that enhance the productivity and capabilities of our aerodynamics development processes for motorsport and high-performance production vehicles. You will work in a multidisciplinary team, designing, developing, and optimizing solutions to technical challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.
This role offers the opportunity to showcase your engineering talents, apply your skills, drive innovation, and connect racing lessons to production vehicles. You will collaborate cross-functionally with partners and help shape the future of motorsports.
What You’ll Do
* Design, develop, and integrate complex mechatronic systems for automotive and aerodynamic testing.
* Create detailed system architectures and specifications.
* Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to create innovative solutions.
* Evaluate and select components and technologies from external suppliers.
* Conduct testing, analysis, and debugging to ensure system performance and reliability.
* Oversee prototype and production solutions, including mechanical design, PCB layout, firmware/software integration, and testing.
* Prepare and present technical reports and specifications to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in mechatronics engineering with a proven track record.
* Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software integration.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA).
* Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and programming languages (C, C++, Python).
* Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, control systems, and power electronics.
* Ability to work in a dynamic environment with strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in related fields.
* Experience with automotive, motorsports, or aerodynamics testing.
* Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink.
* Expertise in CAD and mechanical design.
* Knowledge of control systems and theory.
