Job Description
We are currently working in partnership with an award-winning Housing Association with properties across the South West, recruiting for an Asbestos Removal Project Manager on a temporary three-month contract. This role offers extensive home working opportunities.
The client is looking for someone to start immediately, with an offering of £350.00 - £400.00 per day via an umbrella company, dependent on experience.
The ideal candidate will have led previous asbestos removal and compliance projects, ideally within social housing, and possess access to their own vehicle with a full UK Driving Licence.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Delivering asbestos projects, reviewing surveys, planning, supervising, and overseeing asbestos removals through contractors
* Managing asbestos remedial works and end-to-end delivery of asbestos abatement across social housing stock
* Planning and supervising reinstatement works following asbestos removal
* Preparing and reviewing survey information, including desktop surveys, and prioritising removals
* Ensuring method statements, risk assessments, and Plans of Work are in place and implemented
* Ensuring compliance with Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, HSG 247, and HSG 248
* Managing budgets, subcontractor performance, and procurement of asbestos removal services
* Overseeing invoicing, variations, and cost tracking to ensure project financial viability
Experience, Skills & Qualifications required:
* Experience managing asbestos removal projects in domestic housing
* BOHS P402 and P405 (or equivalent)
* SMSTS/SSSTS and NEBOSH General Certificate (desirable)
* Strong knowledge of asbestos and asset management platforms such as D365
* Ability to work productively with contractors and lead procurement processes
* Detailed understanding of Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, HSG 247, HSG 248, HSG 264, and CDM 2015
Working hours:
* 37 hours per week
* Monday - Friday
