Fast-paced and commercially driven, with a strong finance function at its core. The Role An 11-month fixed term contract opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a busy finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Director. You will take ownership of day-to-day financial operations across financial reporting, budgeting, payroll and audit support - a broad, hands-on role with real visibility at the top of the organisation. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and process daily transactions including expenses, revenue and bank deposits Prepare financial statements including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports for Board and management Lead budget preparation and management, monitoring expenditure and investigating variances against forecast Use historical data and financial trends to forecast future financial performance Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and relevant accounting standards Support financial audits by providing documentation and explanations to auditors Assist with payroll including calculation of salaries, deductions and tax withholdings Utilise accounting software and tools to streamline financial processes and maintain data accuracy What You Will Need Essential Fully qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, standards and regulations Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, SAP, Oracle or similar) and advanced Excel Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and organisational skills Desirable Experience with HMRC regulations and payroll obligations VAT and FX exposure Power BI or similar reporting tool experience Board reporting experience Why Apply An immediate start opportunity with direct Board reporting and broad exposure across the full finance function.
