We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician or non-clinician with a passion for digital transformation to join our digital clinical systems team.
To succeed in this role, you will have excellent communication and leadership skills to influence digital clinical system practice and promote safety in the design, implementation, and use of healthcare technology.
Embedded in Digital Technical Services (DTS), the post holder will play a senior role, reporting to the Deputy Head of Clinical Systems Team. You will be responsible for managing and developing the NHFT Clinical Systems Team (CST) to ensure the service maintains a safe clinical system function that supports outstanding patient care through effective digital clinical tools.
This full-time (37.5 hours), permanent position involves travel across the Trust estate.
You will provide leadership and management for CST, including staff and service development, and be responsible for operational delivery of service outcomes.
The role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and a collaborative approach with stakeholders to plan and deliver programs that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Clinical System Management, Maintenance, and Support within service contracts
2. Ensuring accessible training and supporting end users
3. Managing service requests and changes within KPIs and SLAs
4. Maintaining the integrity of live clinical solutions
5. Collaborating with system suppliers on functionality roadmaps and contractual standards
6. Ensuring clinical safety of Trust systems in partnership with the Clinical Team
7. Overseeing the Registration Authority (RA) function to maintain regulatory compliance and identify improvements
8. Deputising for the Head of Service (HOS) and Deputy HOS as appropriate
