Overview
Assistant Head of Year (Non-Teaching) - Maternity Cover at Rushcliffe Spencer Academy, West Bridgford, Nottingham. The role supports one of five Heads of Year, working with four other Assistant Heads of Year and the Attendance Officer in the Pupil Support Unit. The post is non-teaching and focused on pastoral support and student wellbeing.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with staff across the school to provide high-quality pastoral support for pupils in your year group.
* Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues; communicate effectively to support student outcomes.
* Use knowledge and initiative to be creative and innovative in identifying and delivering ways to support the year group.
* Work as part of the pastoral support team to ensure high standards of behaviour, welfare and attendance.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills with pupils, staff and parents.
* Positive, committed and empathetic approach to pastoral care.
* Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and senior leadership.
