Proactive, professional, reliable receptionist required Monday-Friday, 8:30am- 13:30pm.
Our reception desks are a hive of activity and our receptionists are the first faces to greet our clients & their pets when they come through the door. Applicants must have a polite, warm, friendly manner and love pets
Candidates must have previous reception / customer service experience and be able to multitask. Previous veterinary/animal care experience is a massive bonus.
General duties include :
* Meet & greet clients.
* Answer the telephone.
* Book in appointments and surgeries for clients.
* Understand how to prioritise medical emergencies and manage the daily appointment system accordingly. Give pet care advice WHEN APPROPRIATE with the support of the nurse/vet team. A large part of being successful in the role is the ability to understand how urgently a sick/unwell pet needs to be seen.
* Respond to emails.
* Liaising across our 3 surgeries to effectively manage the rota.
* Accurate stock monitoring and ordering.
* Ensuring the practice remains clean and tidy.
* Money handling, adhering to GDPR and client privacy.
* Answering insurance queries.
