Responsibilities
:
• Design and deploy core platformponents for a new data mesh driven solution
• Prioritize and deliver against a defined Backlog of Epics in an agile approach
• Review and demonstrate solutions with stakeholders and aligned agile pods
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to ingest, search and process datasets
• Liaise with peers within various business domains to facilitate the adoption of the new platform
Job requirements:
1. Development of existing ETL pipeline to new more stable and scalable structure.
2. Lead code efficiency effort to reduce the runtime of a daily run logic down from hours to minutes.
3. Create and maintain ETL pipelines utilising Python or Scala and Apache Spark.
4. Experienced in version control software (GIT), leading the transition into more industry-standard practices around version control.
5. Worked in Agile framework utilising Kanban boards and Scrums resulting in a highly adaptable team of 40+ personnel.
6. Translation of business requirements.
7. Worked with senior management to develop strategic targets during quarterly planning.
8. Write detailed documentation to accelerate onboarding and auditing.
9. Development and maintenance of ESG data asset.
10. Establish secure best practices in HDFS clusters.
11. Output validation through HIVE utilizing SQL
It would be great if you also had:
• Any experience in Apache Spark
• A background in financial services, banking and large enterprise environments
