We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant for a busy global furniture sourcing company in Stratford-Upon-Avon. The ideal candidate should be either a part qualified ACCA accountant or qualified by experience with at least 3 years in an accounting role.

The role involves assisting the finance department with daily operations including purchase ledger, sales ledger, and general ledger, preparation of financial reports, assisting with month end duties and working with the team to complete all accounting duties in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate needs to show commitment and drive, will thrive in a busy environment, and will enjoy taking on new challenges, remaining calm when working under pressure. A proactive approach to problem solving is a necessity.

Job responsibilities:

· Support daily operations including ledger updates, posting transactions, performing bank reconciliations

· Customer and supplier payments

· Preparing forecasting reports, budgets, KPI reporting for our Commercial Managers

· Preparing trial balances, interim P&L's and other requested documentation

· Checking customer and supplier invoices

· Processing expenses including credit cards

· Assisting with month end duties and working with the team to complete all accounting duties in a timely manner including HMRC returns

· Assisting with year-end preparation including corporation tax, P11D

· Monitoring of cash flow tools

Job Requirements

· Working towards a professional accountancy qualification such as ACA or ACCA or CIMA, but relevant experience will also be taken into account

· Good technical accounting skills and a strong attention to detail

· Excellent numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data

· Commercial awareness

· Ability to work to tight deadlines

· Minimum experience of 3 years in a finance department

· Computer and technology skills essential, particularly data manipulation techniques using excel (Vlook up, pivot tables)

· Solid MS Office experience is critical and experience with one drive would be beneficial

· Experience in SAP Business One would be advantageous

· Ability to learn new systems quickly

You must have the right to live and work in the UK

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
