We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established client based in Stourbridge, who are looking to add an Accounts Assistant to their friendly and supportive team. Our client prides themselves on having a small, friendly team with a positive working environment. The successful candidate will report directly to the Sales Manager or Support & Development Manager. The Role * Sales and purchase ledger processing, reporting and reconciliation * Credit control and stock control of publications * Bank, card and cash reconciliations * VAT recording, returns and reconciliations * Processing salaries, expenses and pension payments, including controls and reconciliations (payroll currently outsourced) * Supplier payments, controls and reconciliations * Managing petty cash and charge cards with correct nominal coding * Negotiation and management of annual supplier contracts and insurance policies * Maintaining hire purchase agreements and the fixed assets register * Preparing information for year-end accounts * Liaising with external accountants and government bodies Candidate Requirements The successful candidate will ideally have: * AAT Level 2 (Foundation Certificate in Accounting) * Experience using Sage 50 Accounts * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Working hours: Monday to Thursday: 08:30...
