Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: June 2026
Salary: £92 – £115 per day

GSL Education is currently recruiting for a motivated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist provision in Scarborough.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and support staff to deliver targeted interventions and ensure pupils are fully included in all aspects of school life.
Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
* Assist in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions.
* Support pupils’ emotional, social, and academic development.
* Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals.
* Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain a safe learning environment.
Requirements of a Learning Support Assistant:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
* Patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
* Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
