As a Housekeeper you will provide an efficient and effective housekeeping service to occupants in the accommodation. Progress Living works in partnership with United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals Trust, managing units of accommodation across 3 hospital sites in the Lincolnshire area. Our contract includes extensive refurbishment and new build accommodation combined with the long-term management contract. Your Role Provide an efficient and effective housekeeping service to occupants in the accommodation. Responsible for undertaking the full range of cleaning duties in a timely manner, ensuring working practices comply with all current policies and procedures relating to COSHH and Health and Safety. Undertake scheduled and ad hoc duties relating to environmental cleanliness and/or appearance of the area, such as curtain changing, bed cleaning, carpet shampooing, etc. Safely, operate power driven equipment in the course of these duties; to work safely at heights in the course of these duties; and to use appropriately all safety equipment and/or Personal and Protective Equipment issued for use in undertaking these duties. Ensure regular and timely ordering of cleaning supplies where required. Check all supplies of cleaning materials delivered to the accommodation for quantity, quality, condition and date, reporting all short deliveries, damaged items, and incorrect dates etc. Ensure that all materials are correctly stored and maintained. Ensure all waste generated is bagged, handled and stored correctly, always. Receive enquiries from occupants and action, accordingly, promoting a “can do attitude”. Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor assist with the implementation of the Group’s policies and procedures and guidelines, ensuring all staff are made aware of updates and that implementation has been effectively carried out. What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone that is highly motivated and able to work on their own initiative, as well as being a team player. Good housekeeping skills and experience within a previous housekeeping role are essential, as is a willingness to undertake further training.
