The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join our finance team and support the day-to-day running of our financial operations. This is a great role for someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems, and processes, and who takes pride in keeping things accurate and organised. The role will provide maternity cover for a member of the team for a minimum of 9 months and possibly extending to 12 months.
As Finance Officer, you will play a key part in supporting our billing, accounts receivable, and wider finance processes. You will work closely with colleagues across the business as well as liaise with external clients so strong organisation and communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
· Raising sales invoices and supporting billing processes
· Performing billing reconciliations, including revenue, cost of sales, and WIP
· Managing accounts receivable tasks
· Raising job numbers and setting up clients across various systems
· Assisting with posting purchase invoices, bank transactions and credit card reconciliations
· Supporting audit processes and ad hoc finance department tasks
· Helping maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Skills & Experience
· Previous experience using an accounting or finance system
· Confidence working with spreadsheets, especially Excel
· Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling large volumes of information
· Good organisational and planning skills
· Clear and professional communication style and a collaborative attitude with internal colleagues, client account leads and clients
· A positive can-do attitude and willingness to follow and improve processes
· Experience in a similar finance or accounts role
· Exposure to billing, revenue or WIP environments would be nice to have
· Working as part of a small Finance team, the role requires someone confident working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and taking a calm approach
