Hays are working with a local academy who require some temporary cover within their accounts department.
Your new role
1. Review the purchase ledger to identify duplicate or inactive suppliers.
2. Verify supplier information and process any required updates.
3. Support the review of open purchase orders across the trust, confirming whethermitments remain active and closing orders that are no longer needed.
4. Continuously monitor suppliers and purchasing activity to ensure best value.
5. Handle supplier queries via phone and email.
6. Check orders against delivery notes and report any discrepancies.
7. Liaise with staff and suppliers regarding the return of faulty goods or incorrect deliveries.
8. Scan, match, and process supplier invoices against purchase orders, entering data into the finance system for payment.
9. Request credit notes from suppliers and record them accurately in the finance system.
10. Scan, match, and process credit notes, ensuring correct coding.
11. Print barcodes for invoice scanning.
12. Scan invoices and upload them to the finance system.
13. Resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders.
14. Ensure authorised invoices are returned promptly by staff.
15. Maintain organised filing of orders, invoices, and supplier statements.
16. Raise sales invoices and carry out credit control duties.
