The Role
This is a technical sales position focused on industrial machines used in sectors such as aerospace, automotive, pharmaceutical, and oil & gas. The role combines technical credibility with commercial acumen, requiring someone who can manage complex sales cycles and build strong relationships with engineering and production teams.
You will be responsible for end‑to‑end sales—from lead generation and qualification to quoting, closing, and after‑sales support. The position also involves market development, identifying new opportunities beyond core industries, and representing the company at major trade shows like Advanced Engineering and MACH. Travel across the UK and occasional visits to Italy for training and customer acceptance tests are expected.
The Person
* Technical Sales Expertise: Proven success in selling industrial machinery, equipment, or engineering solutions.
* Engineering Background: Degree or HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
* Industry Exposure: Experience in sectors such as aerospace, automotive, or rotating equipment is highly desirable.
* Relationship Management: Ability to engage with engineers, production managers, and senior decision‑makers.
* Sales Cycle Management: Skilled in handling long, complex sales processes and delivering high‑value solutions.
* CRM & Pipeline Management: Familiarity with maintaining accurate records and forecasting sales.
