Job Brief – Senior Process Technologist

Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Process Technologist to join a well-established food manufacturer based in Greater Manchester- North of the City. This sits within a close-knit, collaborative technical team. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing product trials, supporting production, and mentoring junior technologists, ensuring efficient delivery of products to major UK retailers.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage production trials across a range of products
* Work hands-on in the factory on a daily basis
* Support troubleshooting and problem-solving in production
* Mentor and develop junior technologists within the team
* Ensure smooth progression of products through the NPD gate process
* Collaborate cross-functionally to meet customer timelines and expectations
* Maintain strong communication with production and technical teams
Key Requirements
Experience & Background
* Experience in food manufacturing (essential)
* Strong understanding of NPD processes and product launches
* Experience working in a factory-based, fast-paced environment

Working Hours
* Standard:
* Monday–Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00
* Friday: 08:30 – 16:00
* Flexibility required:
* Time off in lieu / flexibility offered where possible
