Farnham Park Health Group is a friendly GP Practice in Farnham looking after the needs of 16,500 patients. An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and hard-working Administrators to join our team.
Key Tasks and Duties:
Management of medical & DVLA Reports
Collection, opening, date stamping and distribution of all incoming post as required
Ensure workflow optimisation is carried out in a timely manner according to practice protocol
Ensure practice emails are read and actioned in a timely manner
Management of screening recall and non-attenders.
Assist with Patient Registration and Deductions including new patient registrations
Timely processing of referrals, housekeeping and booking patient appointments using the Electronic Referral Service database (ERS)
Respond to tasks in Emis and Docman
Process requests for Online Access and support patients as needed
Deal with patient and external organization enquiries as required. Make and receive phone calls to hospitals, outside agencies, patients as required
Ensure all communication from whatever source is dealt with in a timely manner
To use computer system in accordance with practice requirements
Provide support to clinicians as appropriate
Provide any other administrative support as needed
Ensure that personal NHS Mail and EMIS Emails are read and actioned during each working shift
Other Tasks & Duties:
* Quality and Outcomes Framework ( QOF) Recalls and support to systems as required
* Medical notes summarising as required
* Repeat prescriptions – action requests for prescriptions according to practice protocol and doctors' instructions
* To ensure the work area is left tidy and ready for use for incoming colleagues together with information about any unresolved or urgent matters
* To cover for other members of staff who are absent when required
* To assist other members of office team as maybe determined from time to time
* Attend support staff meetings, mandatory training and other team/practice events from time to time
* Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
* Ensure compliance with GDPR
* Maintain good standard of patient records
* Maintain the security of the building and personnel by following correct procedures
* The scope and range of activities to be performed by the post holder is subject to change and variation according to prevailing operational circumstances, consequently this job description may be subject to management variation. You may at times be asked to assist with other duties.

Person Specification
Essential:
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
The ability to working on your own initiative and in a team.
Strong IT Skills including Microsoft and Outlook
Effective time management, planning and organising
The ability to work under pressure
A keen attention to detail
Willingness to undertake training and development
High level of integrity
A proven dedication to maintaining high standards
An understanding of the importance of confidentiality in the workplace and able to follow data protection policies and guidelines
Desirable:
Previous GP surgery experience
EMIS Web experience
Docman experience
Medical terminology
