We are currently recruiting Science Tutors in Sunderland and surrounding areas to provide high-quality academic support to students who need extra help. Sessions may take place in students' homes or local libraries, so flexibility is key. What You’ll Need: Excellent communication skills and a strong command of written and spoken English A UK home address and eligibility to work in the UK A proactive, positive attitude and a genuine desire to motivate learners An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one – we can help) Experience working with children or young people, including those with SEND or SEMH needs A good understanding of the Science curriculum (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) and relevant exam boards Desirable: Classroom or 1:1 tutoring experience, along with recent safeguarding training Two recent professional references covering 24 months within the last 10 years A full UK driving licence is desirable, as some sessions may be face-to-face What We Offer: Pay rate : £25–£30 per hour Flexible hours to fit around your lifestyle or other commitments Weekly pay through PAYE Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant Access to CPD training, including Team Teach, NASEN and Autism Awareness Referral bonuses through our 'Recommend a Friend' scheme Opportunities for both full-time and part-time tutoring roles With more than 20 years of experience as a leading education recruitment agency, TP Tutors partners with schools and families to provide outstanding tuition.
