We are recruiting a permanent Head of Employee Relations for one of our non-profit clients based in South London. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Employee Relations to lead our central HR/ER team.\n\n This pivotal role involves managing senior employee cases, driving accuracy and excellence in caseload management, and ensuring compliance with rules and regulations. The Head of ER will play a crucial role in promoting positive employee-employer relationships and mitigating risks for the organisation.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead and manage our HR/ER team, ensuring they are equipped to handle their tasks effectively.\nFoster collaboration across the organisation to resolve conflicts and drive robust performance management\nAddress senior employee grievances, workplace conflicts, and other employee-related concerns in compliance with our policies.\nProvide guidance on resolving workplace disputes through mediation, negotiation, and formal grievance processes.\nCollaborate with solicitors and manage tribunal cases.\nInterpret and apply employment laws and regulations, ensuring full compliance with employment laws.\nAdvise management on compliance with nationally and locally agreed terms and conditions.\nConduct prompt, fair, and transparent investigations and disciplinary actions in line with our policies.\nManage organisational change initiatives, including redundancy, restructuring, and TUPE situations.\nAct as a trusted advisor to Directors and senior management on employee relations matters.Qualifications:\n\nProven experience in a senior HR/ER role, particularly within a unionised environment.\nStrong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.\nExcellent conflict resolution and mediation skills.\nAbility to manage a team and work collaboratively with various stakeholders.\nExceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
