GSL Education are currently seeking dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistants to work in primary and secondary schools in Hoyland. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact on the classroom, whether you are an experienced TA or looking to begin your career in education.
As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing one-to-one or group support to pupils under the direction of the class teacher.
* Assisting in the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities.
* Supporting pupils with special educational needs or additional requirements.
* Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
* Contributing to progress reports and observations where required.
To be successful as a Teaching Assistant, you should:
* Have prior experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
* Be patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting individual learning needs.
* Possess good literacy and numeracy skills.
* Be confident working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
* Have an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
* Provide a full, 10-year career history with any gaps clearly explained.
