The ideal candidate will support our finance function by preparing financial reports and statements, performing bank reconciliations, and assisting with management accountants. You should be part-qualified (e.g., ACCA/ACA part-completed), fluent in Excel and Xero, and have hands-on experience in bookkeeping and data entry. Ideally required 1–2 years experience working in an accounting practice (handling bookkeeping, reporting, and client engagements).

What You’ll Do
* Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
* Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
* Create ad-hoc reports in Excel (and Xero needed)
* Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow monitoring
* Prepare and organise tax documentation and liaise with external advisors
* Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and manage data entry tasks
* Collaborate closely with colleagues across departments; communicate findings clearly
* Identify process improvements and suggest efficiencies in workflows
* Oversee end-to-end payroll processes: calculate wages, deductions, and ensure timely payments and statutory compliance.
* Prepare and file VAT returns accurately and on time, ensuring adherence to current VAT rules and deadlines.
Who You Are
* In training or Part-qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA/ACA/CPA) working toward full qualification.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, experience with Xero
* Strong bookkeeping background, with meticulous attention to detail in data entry and record-keeping
* Comfortable interpreting and analysing financial statements, reports, and periodicals
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: you can explain financial concepts to non-finance colleagues
* Business-minded: you understand how numbers tie into broader commercial objectives
* Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Eager to learn and grow: you welcome feedback, seek out new responsibilities, and thrive in a collaborative team
