About The Role
Based in our Manchester Office you will lead and support our design teams delivering projects including but not limited to Highways, Rail Infrastructure, Ecology and Environment, and Building sectors.
As part of the day‑to‑day role you will manage medium projects or several small projects and support the Principal and Associate Project Managers on larger projects with complex features. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the effective delivery of technical outputs/ services across a range of projects to programme, cost and quality. This will be an exciting and challenging role, suited to a self‑motivated, organised and collaborative team player.
You will already have experience undertaking the Project Manager role on small to medium projects, with existing experience of undertaking the commercial and contractual role of the Project Manager in line with NEC contracts or similar. You must have experience of reading and interrogating programmes, management of resource, forecasting and risk identification and mitigation.
You will ideally hold a formal project management qualification.
Main Duties And Experience Required
* Minimum 5 years’ experience within the professional project management role.
* Experience leading small to medium sized projects as NEC Project Manager.
* Ability to edit, manage and interrogate programmes to WBS.
* Knowledge of CDM regulations.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to deliver robust stakeholder management.
* Ability to maintain accurate project records to contractual requirements.
* Ability to chair and take accurate notes of meetings.
What Qualifications, Experience & Skills are required?
Essential
* Relevant degree or similar Project Management qualification
* CMI Level 4
* NEC ECC Project Manager accreditation
Preferred
* Demonstrable experience managing engineering design projects within consultancy or a similar professional environment.
* Proven track record delivering projects in at least one of the following sectors: Highways, Rail, Environment/Ecology, or Buildings.
* Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and managing competing priorities.
* Experience in client liaison, stakeholder management, and producing project documentation.
* Previous experience of undertaking the Project Manager role with an engineering organization.
Skills
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Strong project planning, scheduling, and cost-management capabilities.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and team‑coordination skills.
