We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Administrator to join the Logistics Planning team at our Desford site.
Logistics Administrator
Location: Desford (Onsite)
Hourly Rate: £21.21 per hour
Contract: 12 months (with strong potential for extension)
Client: Global Leading Engineering and Manufacturing Company
About the Role
Are you an organised and detail-focused administrator looking to grow your career in logistics?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Administrator to join the Logistics Planning team at our Desford site .
In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Material Handling Equipment (MHE) fleet of over 200 vehicles, working closely with suppliers and internal departments to keep logistics operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Provide daily support to the Logistics Planning team, including data entry, printing, laminating, and ordering goods.
Build and maintain strong working relationships across departments to ensure smooth coordination.
Manage MHE fleet invoicing, checking and approving supplier invoices or raising disputes where necessary.
Raise purchase orders for vehicle repairs and services, maintaining accurate records using Excel.
Support with resolving invoicing disputes and ensuring timely supplier payments.
Coordinate service activities such as tyre fitting, windscreen replacements, and scheduled maintenance.
Follow company Health & Safety policies and uphold core values such as Integrity, Commitment, Excellence, and Teamwork.
About You - Essential Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint .
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective liaison with departments and suppliers.
Strong attention to detail - able to verify invoices accurately and manage payments promptly.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Desirable Skills
Understanding of MHE fleet operations (e.g. Reach Truck, Counterbalance).
Experience using Next Gen or Coupa Ordering/Invoicing Systems .
