Role Description
This is a full‑time on‑site role for a CNC Milling Setter/Operator/CNC Turner based in Cupar, Fife. Responsibilities include setting and operating CNC milling and turning machines with 3, 4, and 5‑axis capabilities, interpreting detailed technical drawings and specifications, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of the machining components as per company standards. The role involves troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance of the machinery to ensure smooth operations, inspecting finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications, and collaborating closely with the engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines with precision.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in CNC Milling and Turning, including the setup and operation of 3, 4, and 5‑axis machines.
* Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
* Knowledge of machine maintenance, fault finding, and basic troubleshooting skills.
* Experience working with CAD CAM software and inspection tools.
* Demonstrated attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring quality and precision in machining tasks.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and meet deadlines effectively.
* Prior experience in industries such as aerospace, telecommunications, or medical manufacturing is a plus.
* An engineering‑related qualification or relevant apprenticeship is advantageous.
