Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Construction Tutor to join our team on a self employed basis. Working primarily at our Bury St Edmunds site amongst our other specialist facilitators.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding in theory and practice of various construction industry specialisms including Electrician, Brick Laying, Carpentry and a commitment to educating children and possess the ability to communicate effectively with students of varying abilities.
Duties
* Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students, focusing on their individual learning needs and your specialism.
* Develop and implement customised lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
* Assist students in understanding complex concepts and improve their academic performance regarding your specialism.
* Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes student engagement and confidence.
* Communicate regularly with the lead coordinator regarding student progress, attendance and areas for improvement.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and adapt teaching methods as necessary.
* Collaborate with other educators and specialists to ensure comprehensive support for students with special educational needs.
Requirements
* Have a great depth of understanding in theory and practice of various construction industry specialisms including (but not limited to): Electrician, Brick Laying, Carpentry, Plumbing
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and their families.
* Knowledge or experience in special education practices is highly desirable.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for educating children.
* Relevant qualifications in education or a related field would be advantageous.
