Practice Supervisor Occupational Therapist - Children's Housing
We are a small team of Occupational Therapists and Support Officers determined to have a positive impact on children, young people and families.
We are looking for a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) with extensive experience of children’s housing adaptations and equipment to manage our duty provision, deputise for the Team Manager, and provide high‑quality clinical and managerial support. You will also complete occupational therapy assessments while managing your own complex caseload.
The OT service works with children, young people, families, and health, education and social service professionals to provide a holistic service across Oxfordshire. We partner with local councils and housing associations to deliver bespoke adaptations, secure additional funding, enable families to manage their own DFG projects, and review the delivery of DFGs.
Main Duties
* Assess children and families at home for appropriate housing adaptations and equipment.
* Manage the duty process, supervise OT Support Officers and manage the duty rota.
* Deputise for the Team Manager during absences, providing professional and clinical support to the team and external parties.
* Drive to assess children mainly in their homes and work with a range of complex developmental and physical needs, including autism, cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy.
* Contribute to service development and implement evidence‑based practice within the Children’s Social Care team.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified Occupational Therapist registered with HCPC.
* Extensive experience in children’s housing adaptations.
* Experience supervising staff and providing clinical supervision.
