Job Description
We are looking for a driven Distribution Centre Assistant Manager (DCAM) to join our newly established DC, set to open in September 2024. As a DCAM, you will be key to maintaining the seamless functioning of our warehouse and distribution activities.

About the Role
* Ensuring accurate intake, receipt and shipment of goods to and from customers, stores and suppliers
* Ensuring daily throughput efficiency via pick/pack/dispatch of goods to customer and retail
* Clear communication with staff and DCM
* Control of stock accuracy, the security of the DC and its contents
* Ensuring systems are functional and maintained, reporting/rectifying and issues within the DC workstream efficiently.
* Ensuring upkeep of consumables
* Leadership within Health and Safety. Ensuring compliance and promoting only the highest standards at all times.
* Maintaining Quality Control
* Organising and liaising with suppliers, shippers and agents regarding the movement of goods
* Managing rota of transport and delivery to retail and partners.
* Deputising in the absence of the DCM
* Must be able to understand all job roles in detail to perform in the stead of any role reporting to them.
* Assist the DCM in the leadership of all reportable staff
* Implement deliverables in regard to the training and development of staff as directed by the DCM
* Assist in the management of holidays, sickness, appraisals, engagement, disciplinary procedures and recruitment
* Monitor staff timekeeping and working rota to ensure smooth running of the DC
About You
* 2+ Years in Warehousing / E-Commerce Fulfilment / Logistics
* Proven people management experience
* Microsoft Software; Excel/Word/Teams/PowerPoint/D365/Outlook
* Ability to troubleshoot any technical or physical issues
* Comfortable in a high paced environment
* Must be flexible and comfortable with seasonal peaks due to work volume, hours/shifts, uptake in staffing volumes
* Be able to commit to peak periods where holiday is unavailable for four weeks twice a year. This is mid December to mid January and mid June to mid July.
