Career You’re in the early stages of your professional journey, with 1-2 years’ experience in a financial services environment, and you’re keen to build your career within a growing firm that has big ambitions. You bring strong analytical skills, love solving problems, and thrive in a collaborative setting where curiosity and continuous learning are encouraged. You don’t need compliance knowledge – we’re looking for someone who can pick things up quickly and is motivated to learn. You might have a background in audit, experience as a business analyst, or a knack for streamlining processes and spotting areas for improvement. As a medium sized organisation, you’ll receive informal coaching, be encouraged to take ownership of your learning, and be guided towards the right resources to help you grow. About the role You’ll support a range of compliance monitoring and reporting activities, working closely with multiple stakeholders as part of the wider Compliance team and alongside the Head of Compliance. Based in our Bristol office, you’ll enjoy the best of both worlds: an office where everyone knows your name, paired with direct access to senior stakeholders that will accelerate your development. Your responsibilities will span administrative and organisational tasks as well as data analysis, compliance monitoring, and reporting on monitoring reviews. This is a true “learn by doing” role. While all roles at this level include an administrative element, the real opportunity lies in working closely with experienced Compliance professionals, gaining practical exposure, and building a strong foundation for your career progression. Accountabilities Performing thematic and ad hoc monitoring reviews to test controls across the business, delivered in a consistent and timely manner. Reporting on monitoring reviews and actions, collecting and providing Management Information to support preparation of Management and Board Reports. Support the tracking and effective completion of monitoring tasks. Performing regular sample monitoring as required. Ad-hoc administrative duties e.g. supporting the business with system and database inquiries and management. Skills and Experience At least 1-2 years professional experience working within Financial Services or a similar industry. Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking. Highly organised, able to proactively work on a range of tasks. Tech-savvy, strong Excel skills – e.g. pivot tables, V:Lookups. Ability to work independently to manage own tasks and deadlines as well as collaborate with wider team members. Some experience of compliance or audit functions would be desirable though not essential.
