Salary: TA1 Spinal Point 2 – 4 - £16,848 - £17,380 per annum (£23656 - £24,404 FTE) 30hrs per week (between 8:40am – 3:10pm Monday to Friday) – Term Time Only plus TEDs Start date: 1st September 2025 - temporary until 31st August 2026 (potential for permanent) The duties and responsibilities allocated to the post will be based on the skills, experience, knowledge and qualifications of the individual appointed which will determine the salary grade The Governing Body and Head teacher at Meadow Green Primary School are looking to appoint a caring, committed and enthusiastic Grade 1 Teaching Assistant to support children in the classroom for 30 hours per week between 8:40am – 3:10pm Monday to Friday. The role will be based predominantly within Key Stage 1, supporting in a Year 1 class. Relevant experience or a qualification in early years/key stage 1 post, along with delivering phonics interventions and reading groups, would be desirable for this post. The role will include working with children across a range of abilities and may involve working with children individually, as part of a group or supporting children as part of a whole class. Experience of working in EYFS/Key Stage 1 classes and any related training would be desirable. Teaching Assistants may also be required to undertake a half hour daily lunchtime duty as part of their role.
