About the Business:
Housing First is an exciting collaborative programme managed by The Salvation Army Nelson Tasman Bays Corps. It provides rapid housing and support to people experiencing long-term homelessness in Nelson Tasman.
Housing First recognizes that addressing complex needs like mental health and addiction is easier once individuals are housed.
About the Role:
The Property Co-ordinator plays a key role within the Housing First Team, responsible for providing housing and managing tenancies for tenants of Housing First Nelson Tasman. The ideal candidate will have experience in Property Management and knowledge of the local housing market.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee client movement into and out of Transitional houses
* Manage processes for all properties in the region
* Ensure homes are clean, well-maintained, and welcoming
* Manage rent payments for Transitional/Supportive Housing
* Support house finding efforts
Ideal Candidate:
* Excellent communication skills
* Team player with respect for privacy and confidentiality
* Experience in transitional housing preferred; proficient in Teams, Outlook, Office 365
* Sensitive, caring, patient approach
* Strong understanding of social justice issues
* Target-driven, proactive, problem solver
* Culturally competent with a bicultural perspective
* Aligned with The Salvation Army's mission and values
* Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act (RTA)

This is a fixed-term, full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, ending on 30 September 2027.
The hourly rate ranges from $27.77 to $39.92.
