We have an exciting apprenticeship opportunity to become part of our fantastic Retail Support Team based in our Head Office in Sunderland.
The team is currently made up of 10 staff, who work closely together alongside the Retail Sales Director, in a fast paced environment, working to deadlines. The purpose of this role is to assist with the day to day operations of the Retail Sales division, providing effective support and advice, driving sales to ensure overall profitability is maximised. This role will see you motivating the sales teams to ensure they remain focussed as well as liaising with a variety of Head Office departments in an attempt to resolve queries.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide telephone and online support to the retail branches
2. Liaising with Branch Managers and Retail Sales Managers
3. Motivating the sales teams to ensure they remain focussed as well as liaising with a variety of Head Office departments in an attempt to resolve queries.
Competencies Required
4. Deliver exceptional customer service to all people, including Retail & Head Office staff at all levels
5. Excellent organisation and time management skills, working to deadlines
6. Computer and administration skills including Word and Excel Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
7. Ability to handle complaints and complex situations
8. Enthusiastic and proactive approach to working as part of a team, from Apprentice to Director level
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
10. Ability to liaise with staff at all levels including Senior Managers & Directors
11. Effective motivational skills and the ability to remain positive and professional at all times
12. Commitment to contribute to the growth of the business and the development of the team
13. Ensure that the Hays Travel values are demonstrated at all times and that others follow this standard
Technical Skills Required
14. Basic knowledge of computer systems Microsoft Word and Excel with the ability to utilise its key functionalities
15. Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
16. File management skills
17. Web Navigation Skills
Qualifications/Experience required
18. English & Maths grade 4 or above
General
19. To be committed and dedicated to completing the customer service Apprenticeship programme within the 12 month timescale, attending all relevant training workshops
20. To undertake any other duties that may fall into the job criteria
21. To conform with all company policies and procedures including Health and Safety
22. To treat all employees, customer and suppliers with dignity and respect
