We’re hiring two Technical Consultants to join a fast-growing Managed IT and Cloud Services provider, supporting clients across the UK with innovative, tailored technology solutions.
£60,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits
Hybrid (1–2 days per week in office + client travel)
Multiple sites available UK wide
About the Role
As a Technical Consultant, you’ll partner closely with the sales and technical teams to shape IT, cloud, security, and communication solutions that help clients achieve their goals. This pre-sales role blends technical expertise with strong commercial acumen — perfect for someone who enjoys engaging with customers, understanding their challenges, and designing solutions that deliver measurable value.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Work alongside Sales to qualify opportunities and scope client requirements.
* Design and present bespoke IT solutions across cloud, networking, cyber security, managed services, and unified communications.
* Run technical discovery sessions and translate findings into proposals and solution designs.
* Deliver presentations and demos to technical and business audiences, including senior stakeholders.
* Collaborate internally to ensure accurate scoping and smooth project handovers.
* Stay up to date with vendor technologies (Microsoft, Cisco, Sophos, etc.) and market trends.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
* Proven experience in technical pre‑sales, solution consulting, or sales engineering, ideally within an MSP or IT services provider.
* Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, security, and voice / UC solutions.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
* Experience designing commercially aligned, technically robust solutions.
Desirable
* Vendor certifications (e.g. Microsoft, CompTIA, Sophos, Cisco).
* Familiarity with MSP operating models and SLAs.
* Background in project delivery or consultancy.
